Your common questions answered

Do I need to see a doctor first?

No, you do not need a Doctor/GP’s referral. We can submit relevant ACC injuries for you. If you have seen another health provider, we can transfer and use your same ACC claim. However, if it is a gradual injury from work then you should see your doctor first for it to be covered under ACC.

What do I need to do or bring for the first appointment?

Please fill out the consent form that will be emailed to you after booking. Paper copies are also available at the clinic if you prefer. Try to arrive 5 minutes early, and there will be seats in the waiting room. If you already have an ACC number from a hospital/doctor or have had any scans/imaging, please bring them along.

What do I need to wear?

Whatever you prefer. However, for ease of assessment, it helps for a knee injury to wear or bring shorts, and for a shoulder, a loose-fitting t-shirt/singlet/non-sports bra.

What happens at a physio appointment?

The physio will ask some questions and explore your medical history and current condition. They will then perform a physical assessment to diagnose your issue and discuss a treatment plan with you.

What is your cancellation policy?

Ideally, please give us more than 24 hours' notice if you need to change or cancel your appointment. Otherwise, there will be a $40 cancellation fee.

I have insurance do you accept?
